About Tom
From Passion to Profession – A Journey in Film, Photography & Storytelling
My love for filmmaking and photography started at the age of 9 when I first picked up a camera—and I’ve been hooked ever since. What began as a fascination turned into a career, and in 2016, I founded Tom Dennis Productions as a side business. It quickly grew into a full-time passion, allowing me to work with some of the industry's best, including The History Channel (Lawless: The Real Bushrangers), Clean Slate Media, Next Inline Films, and Wagga Wagga TV.
With over a decade of experience in theatre, film, and television, I’ve developed a unique ability to blend techniques from each medium, creating visually striking, emotionally engaging, and story-driven content. While my primary expertise is in lighting design, I’ve also worked extensively in sound and video production, which gives me a well-rounded approach to crafting dynamic visuals.
I hold a Bachelor of Communication and Creative Industries (Television Production) from Charles Sturt University, graduating in 2017. After university, I joined Fox Sports as a Media Services Coordinator, later advancing to Master Control Coordinator. But my passion for storytelling led me to take a leap of faith. In mid-2021, after three and a half years at Fox Sports, I pursued Tom Dennis Productions full-time.
Now, I specialize in high-quality videography and photography, working with businesses, brands, and individuals to create compelling content that engages audiences and brings stories to life. Whether it’s a corporate video, wedding film, commercial photography shoot, or a social media campaign, I bring creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of visual storytelling to every project
